INTEK Digital cooperates with SERAPHIC in global STB markets

SERAPHIC Sraf® HTML5 browser chosen by INTEK Digital to power HbbTV-capable and Pay TV operator STBs

INTEK Digital, a renowned set-top box (STB) manufacturer from Korea, and SERAPHIC, a leading digital TV browser and “TV + Internet” solution provider, announced their cooperation firstly on HbbTV 1.5 and later HbbTV 2.0 compliant products, targeting at global STB markets in Germany, Portugal, etc.

INTEK Digital is renowned as a hardware manufacturer that not only delivers quality devices but also excels at servicing operators. It has forged cooperative relationships with various mainstream STB chipset vendors including Mstar Semiconductor.

To extend its overseas markets, INTEK Digital selects SERAPHIC, who has gained high reputation in DTV industry for its unique Sraf® HTML5 browser’s wonderful performance.

Sraf HTML5 browser, based on the world leading Google Blink engine, is able to power the latest specs for HbbTV 2.0, Freeview Play, YouTube TV 2016, etc. It has passed the official test suits from HbbTV organization with the commercial test framework from Eurofins, the authorized international group providing testing and support services.

In early October 2016, Jack Kim, CTO at INTEK Digital, and his group visited SERAPHIC’s headquarter in Shanghai.
